New Zealand Student Visa Requirements for International Students

To study in New Zealand, international students must prepare the following documents and comply with Immigration New Zealand (INZ) requirements:

  • Must be valid for the entire duration of your stay.

2. Offer of Place

  • An official acceptance letter from a New Zealand education provider (e.g., EIT, Otago Polytechnic).

  • Must include course name, duration, and confirmation of full-time enrollment.

3. Proof of Funds

Students must show they can financially support themselves:

  • NZD 20,000 per year (or NZD 1,667 per month) for living expenses.

  • Proof may include:

    • Bank statements

    • Sponsor’s financial documents

    • Scholarship letter

    • Guaranteed Income form

4. Tuition Fee Evidence

  • Receipt of payment or
